From Silent Struggles to Systemic Innovation

Growing up in Okara, conversations around women’s health were veiled in silence. My earliest experiences with menstruation involved whispered instructions to hide cloth pads, accepting a sense of shame as a natural reality. It was not until I moved to Faisalabad for my education that I experienced proper menstrual hygiene practices and realized a fundamental truth: this is an essential part of life, not a taboo. That singular realization stayed with me, casting a stark light on the millions of women still navigating that same silent struggle.

As I entered the pharmaceutical industry, I began to view these daily challenges through a systemic lens. I saw firsthand how women’s reproductive health needs were routinely overlooked and shrouded in societal stigma. Listening to stories of women facing profound embarrassment simply trying to purchase basic sanitary products became my turning point. I realized my purpose within healthcare had to extend beyond traditional pharmacy. I wanted to design real, accessible solutions built on dignity and scientific rigor.

This vision ultimately materialized as Her Ground. What began as personal reflection evolved into a dedicated platform for reproductive health awareness, sustainable hygiene access, and crucial data collection. By translating women’s authentic voices into actionable insights, my work now lives at the intersection of clinical care, science, and social innovation. I fundamentally believe that when we equip women with the right knowledge and respectful care, they do not just survive their challenges, they thrive.
